Charlotte Onland Contributes to Discussions on the Future of Health Data at Utrecht Life Sciences TechConnect

Last week, Charlotte Onland represented Health Data Space Utrecht (HDSU) at the inaugural Utrecht Life Sciences TechConnect event, where she moderated an interactive session on data management, storage, and computing.

The event brought together researchers, technology experts, and infrastructure specialists from across Utrecht Life Sciences to discuss the opportunities and challenges surrounding health data in modern biomedical research. During the session, Charlotte presented on the European Health Data Space (EHDS), an important European initiative aimed at facilitating secure and responsible access to health data for research, innovation, and healthcare.

By raising awareness of the EHDS among researchers and research support facilities and by sharing how HDSU can support the facilities to become EHDS compliant , the session contributed to ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration, improve data accessibility, and accelerate innovation in health research.

Contributing to these important conversations and helping to shape the future of health data management. Initiatives such as Utrecht Life Sciences TechConnect play a crucial role in connecting researchers and fostering collaborations that will ultimately advance biomedical and cardiovascular research.
