Our group represented at Dutch Atherosclerosis Society (DAS) Meeting

SCAD Coronary Dysfunction & HFpEF Atherosclerosis

Last Wednesday, members of our group attended the annual meeting of the Dutch Atherosclerosis Society (DAS), a national meeting dedicated to advancing research on atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease. The meeting brought together researchers from across the Netherlands to share the latest discoveries in vascular biology, lipid metabolism, and cardiovascular disease mechanisms.

From our group we had a few poster presentations and a flash talk. Our PhD Luna presented her poster “Mapping the spatial and molecular landscape of SCAD”,  and PhD Sofie presented her poster “Improving secondary cardiovascular risk prediction in the Athero-Express using plaque histology and epigenetic ageing” , Tian presented her poster “A Transcriptomic Signature of Positive Carotid Plaque Remodeling Links to an Unstable Molecular Phenotype” and PhD Anna Spiering had a flash talk “Preeclampsia-Associated Genes in Atherosclerosis.”

While it was a very warm day, the DAS was a nice opportunity to discuss these findings with colleagues from across the atherosclerosis research community and to strengthen collaborations within the Dutch atherosclerosis field!
